Atascocita

Located in the northeastern part of Harris County, just about 18 miles northeast of downtown Houston, Atascocita is a large development that has become one of the fastest-growing residential areas in the region. The community is bordered on its eastern side by Lake Houston, and took its name from the old Atascocita Road that became a widely used east-west route that’s known today as Farm to Market Road 1960.

Offering 15 established neighborhoods and an array of parks, golf course, and country clubs, Atascocita blends small town charm with a distinct style of suburban flair. Atascocita was named one of the “Best Places to Retire” by U.S. News & World Report, while consumer advocacy site NerdWallet ranked Atascocita as one of the “Best Cities for Home Ownership in Texas.”
